UK : THE LONDON TREE AND WOODLAND AWARD WINNERS(2008-12-04) Last 1 December, saw the first annual London Tree and Woodland Awards.
The awards concluded the three-year Capital
Woodlands Biodiversity Partnership project, supported the Heritage
Lottery Fund (HLF).
The project has supported 117 London
woodlands, 32 trainees, 1,300 woodland volunteers, and over 5,000
school-children and 50 community groups since it began in 2006.
