Spotlight on innovations and the latest trends
Hannover. The flagship event for the worldwide floor coverings industry continues to grow by leaps and bounds: DOMOTEX HANNOVER 2008 is already set to exceed all the figures for 2007. With three months yet to go until the show opens, bookings are very solid, with approx. 98 percent of the available display space already reserved. Deutsche Messe, the organizer of DOMOTEX HANNOVER, is expecting some 1,400 exhibitors to take part when the gates open on the next show from 12 to 15 January 2008. This compares very favorably with this year’s total of 1,336 exhibitors, while total stand bookings are up to 94,000 m² (from 91,757 m² in 2007).
Exhibitors from some 60 countries will be using the show to present the trends of tomorrow. DOMOTEX HANNOVER ranks among the world’s most truly international trade fairs, with 80 percent of exhibiting firms based outside Germany. But it’s not just the exhibitors who make DOMOTEX such a cosmopolitan event: The 2007 show attracted 44,000 trade visitors in all, with well over half that number – 26,000 – coming from more than 80 different nations. A similar visitor turnout is expected in 2008.
As an international event, DOMOTEX HANNOVER provides ideal conditions for generating business on a global scale, while also enabling visitors to get a first-hand impression of the very latest trends and designs. For suppliers and manufacturers worldwide, DOMOTEX HANNOVER is by far the most important date in the annual business calendar. Over 45 percent of the visiting professionals indicate that DOMOTEX is the one-and-only show they attend during the year. Topping the list of exhibitor nations at the time of writing is Germany, followed by Belgium, Turkey, the Netherlands, India, China, Italy, Iran, Switzerland and Pakistan.
Exhibitors and visitors alike rate DOMOTEX highly as a barometer of industry and lifestyle trends and the meeting place of choice for top buyers and decision-makers from all over the world. One in two visitors occupies a senior management position in his or her company.
