Bauen mit Holz – Wege in die Zukunft Die Vereinten Nationen haben 2011 zum ›Internationalen Jahr der Wälder‹ ausgerufen. Aus diesem Anlass zeigt das Architekturmuseum zusammen mit dem Fachgebiet Holzbau der TU München in einer großen Ausstellung ›Bauen mit Holz – Wege in die Zukunft‹ in der Pinakothek der Moderne die technischen, ökonomischen und gestalterischen Möglichkeiten des Materials.

Ce Salon à périodicité annuelle est une manifestation professionnelle spécialisée. Elle regroupe les entreprises industrielles du secteur du meuble les plus performantes. A sa création, le Salon du Meuble de Tunis appelé « DAR » « maison en arabe, regroupait jusqu’à l’année 2003 des secteurs d’activité multiples comme le secteur des luminaires, de l’ameublement et même des équipements de fabrication du meuble. A partir de 2004, fort de son expérience et de la satisfaction des professionnels, la manifestation a évolué vers un Salon du Meuble exclusivement et a changé de nom pour devenir Le Salon du Meuble de Tunis. C’est une des plus importantes manifestations en Tunisie et le premier événement professionnel et spécialisé de l’industrie du meuble organisé avec le concours des structures professionnelles (UTICA) et le Centre Technique des Industries du Bois et de l’Ameublement (CETIBA).

Årets svenska pelletskonferens, Pellets 2012, hålls på Näringslivets hus i Stockholm 31 januari och 1 februari. Före konferensen ordnas studiebesök på Hässelby kraftvärmeverk, som är Sveriges största användare av pellets, och i Nacka, där en mellanskalig pelletsanläggning visas. Ett par aktuella teman som ägnas mycket tid på konferensen är hållbarhet och certifiering samt risker i samband med lagring och produktion. Svebios pelletskonferens är den årliga mötesplatsen för pelletsbranschen, och brukar samla 150 – 200 deltagare, både tillverkare, användare, handelsföretag, utrustningstillverkare och forskare. Sverige är ledande i Europa både när det gäller produktion och användning av biobränslepellets. 2010 uppgick den svenska produktionen av pellets till cirka 1,5 miljoner ton, och användningen var 2,3 miljoner ton. I energitermer är det 11,3 TWh. Det är nästan lika mycket som den svenska naturgasanvändningen, dubbelt så mycket som vindkraften och åtta gånger så mycket som biogasen. Det finns ett 80-tal tillverkningsställen för pellets, alltifrån stora fabriker till småföretag. Råvaran är främst spån från sågverk och träindustrier: sågspån, hyvelspån och kutterspån.
